Word-Filled Wednesday

For more posts on this "WFW" visit The 160 Acre Woods.

Hello, friends! MAN, I can't believe it's been a whole week since I've last posted. I don't have any grand excuses.. just that summer is HERE and we've been BUSY!

I told my friend Susan that I was hoping to share some "before and after" pictures of what we've got accomplished. It's really funny, I've NEVER been one to care much about the outside of my home. It seemed to be all I could do just to keep the INSIDE clean. HA!! I suppose with the boys being older (and not needing as much supervision) and also that they're helping with the chores - I can FINALLY do other things. Now, when they're "grown and gone" I'm SURE I'll be LONGING for the days that they were ALWAYS under my feet. (Not going there this morning - If I do, I'll start up the waterworks... hehe)

Things have been "okay" here. Link, Zach & Gabe are such BLESSINGS. I'm just so VERY THANKFUL that I have them all in my life. There are some days that just seem unbearable - and one of the 3 of them can almost ALWAYS help me refocus when I just can't "get it together." For whatever reason the holidays seem to make us miss Brent more. I survived Mother's Day and now Link has to get through Father's Day. It's just so hard to "celebrate" being parents with one of our children gone.

With that said, we can ALWAYS be THANKFUL for the fact that CHRIST DID pay for our sins, and because of HIM we KNOW that we WILL see each other again. How could we not be thankful for that? Amen?

Okay.. I'm going to go and look for my camera and will TRY to get my latest pictures loaded. I can't wait to show you all that we've been doing here.

I've MISSED you all tremendously and looking forward to getting caught up with each of you! ;-) Thanks SO MUCH for stopping by!

thanks for the comment and the link for itchy sunburnt skin. I am glad to hear that you have had the time to get somethings done. I wish I have had it. Maybe starting this next week my schedule will slow up a bit. Can't wait to see the pics. Have a blessed week.

Hi Tonya,
I Love the Church Mice! Your blog always brings a smile to my face! I will be anxious to see the before and after pictures, I am itching to do a project but I have no idea where to begin (there are so many to be done). Kim just showed some pics on her blog and it got me in the mood to re-do!

Have a good day Tonya and I will remember to be praying for you as these difficult days come upon you!

Love,
Kelley

Tonya,

Great post. I know why you're spending all this time working in the yard, you're putting off working on the 100 things about you post. I've got you figured out!!

Seriously praying for smooth waters in the upcoming days!

Tonya-In regards to your boys teaching mine something naughty-I am sure mine would love to join the fun, teach them a thing or two, and probably truly enjoy concocting new stunts together. I wish we did live closer! I know we would be such great friends. Too bad it's my sister that lives in Mississippi and not me. I'd drive on over and share a glass of tea with you. I could also use the warmth of your great state. My sis said it's hot already. Not July hot but definately nicer than we've got up here. Minnesota forgot to have Spring this year. It's seriously cold! Hoping you have a blessed week-dandelions story was too funny!!

Oh, Tonya, I can't wait to see pictures! It is always a great feeling to finish a project!

I have been working on a box for Allie Grace - but I still have a couple more drawers to clean out! :) Most of the clothes are size 6-12 months!

LOVE the mice comic! :)

Hope you all have a busy, but FUN weekend!

Lovely to visit and see your work.
I envy you the green and all that space. I grew up on the land but as an adult have lived mainly in suburbia, not far out of Melbourne, Capital City of Victoria the small state on the bottom right of our mainland. Our whole country has been in drought and Victoria has done it tough the last couple of years. I have lost azaelas 10 or more years old and it has been heartbreaking. We are getting some rain but not enough to be off water restrictions and gardens need water. I have learnt something of the truth of the Geoff Bullock song "Just let me say how much I love you'
says something like, I will find you in the desert where the sand is Holy Ground. Well my back lawn turned almost to that sort of bush track so I had to learn to view it as Holy Ground. I was amazed at how depressing it has been and I am planting lots of bulbs for spring as at least they seem to last. All the best for your garden and all that lovely space to plant trees.
I love the hymn, safe in the arms of Jesus and will never forget playing it on an organ when I was only a teenager for a babies funeral. What a place for our children to be if they cannot be with us.
