Anybody know how to build an ARK??

Hey there, Friends!

I thought I'd check in and show you a picture I took in our pasture down below our house today. I think we've gotten about 8 inches of rain over the past few days and the creek has SERIOUSLY flooded! The boys LOVE it when everything gets under water.. it's a wet, muddy, dream come true! As you can imagine, Gabe is just ITCHING to jump in.

The last time it rained they picked up dozens of baby fish that spilled over from our pond. They "saved" them.. SWEET HUH? Ha!!

Oh, and guess what Zach has been doing all afternoon??? Give up??? He's researching SNAKES online! YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Image and video hosting by TinyPic SERIOUSLY. I want to be a really COOL kind of mom.. but a SNAKE???

This is one of the ones he found and thinks he'd like to have...

A snake??? No, REALLY!?!?!?! Image and video hosting by TinyPic Oh, and in case you're wondering.. this picture was "borrowed" from google. No snakes here!! Image hosted by TinyPic.com

I HOPE!

If the snake stayed that size, I might go for it... We are in the same boat/ark here. Actually, today for the first time, we had sunshine. It was wonderful. I think we have more rain headed this way though. :( Have a great rest of the week!

LOL. Actually cornsnakes make fabulous pets. We have three of them. :-D They are sort of like golden retrievers of the reptile world. Feel free to ask me any questions about them. I'll answer if I can.

Oh my goodness! I hate snakes! And i have two little boys that i know will most likely be fascinated with all things creepy!
But that's great that your son is doing reaserch on them. He'll learn a lot and it'll probably stick with him longer since it is something he is interested in.

We've had a lot of rain here, too! That picture of the tiny snake made my skin crawl...literally! I can't stand those creep, crawly, slimy, disgusting creatures! Did I get my point across? LOL!

I could do with out the rain for a few days. And it looks like you could too.

And as for the snake, that is an outside pet around here. Not bringing it in the house.

Mmm hmm... yep. Our boys are clones. Or twins. Or SOMETHING! You've seen the latest picture of my boy on my True Story Tuesday post, right? It was taken when he was 3, he's holding about a 3 foot long king snake. I confess.. I actually like 'em. As long as they're non-venomous, that is. Is that a Southeastern Crowned snake? That would be indigenous to the area. We're always catching worm and ring-necked snakes around here. Send Zach on over here and we'll hook him up with something fun! While you and I sit on the porch, of course...

I'm with you in regard to the snakes! I am pretty lenient, but there is a great big NO to snakes!

Um..ewwww about the snake. I've known ppl that had them as pets. You've gotta feed 'em, ya know... like a mouse or something. Like I said. EW!

Wow.. you guys really are gonna be needing an ark soon! What a sloshy mess! But before long it will be hot and dry all around. I try to remember that these days when the weather acts up. LOL

Snakes????!!! Ewwww! I'm with you, Tonya...keep those things away from ME!!

We've had lots of rain, too, but not as much as you! Wow! You might have to get a row boat to get around your property! LOL

Love ya...stay safe!

You can get ark building instructions in Genesis. Just don't get all confused with that cubit stuff!

Boys and snakes just seem to go together. Sorta warms my heart and brings a tear to my eye.

Really...snakes are one thing that this mama just would not be able to tolerate! Uhhh...I hate them!!

The rain here has been non-stop as well...what is the deal?? Lets pray for a dry weekend!

WOW, your new layout is FABULOUS!! ((Drools)) I hope you don't mind the puddles!!

That is a flood! If I ever needed to build an ark, I'd have to read the Bible OR forward through 'Evan Almighty' for the basics :P

That's a tiny snake, I thought it was a new pet of yours LOL. Let me tell you, we received two TINY turtles that were the same size of that snake. Absolutely precious but do you know what happen? They GROW!! The turtles can be ridden by children now :o) they're on a farm now. Keep that in mind when your son wants a snake LOL

Also think about its food requirements, imagine half eaten rats and soggy crickets in water bowls ((shudders)) I'm warning you from my experience, I used to rescue lizards and snakes LOL!
