Simply BEAUTIFUL

Hello, Sweet Friends!

I've let another whole day pass without posting.. so once again I'm sharing a video. (I DO hope you're not getting tired of these) O:-)

This video was emailed to me by a friend and it brought out a TON of emotions! (The video is of some men singing "Amazing Grace" in the Coliseum in Rome)

See, any Christian can easily be brought to tears hearing this song.. but it hits me on another level. It wasn't long after we'd brought Brent back to Memphis (to let him "go HOME") that Link was awakened one night by the sound of our PRECIOUS Little Man singing his heart out. Yes, he was singing, "Amazing Grace"! (Brent spent his last days in almost constant conversation with the LORD, praying, talking about JESUS, or singing songs to his LORD)

Another part of this BEAUTIFUL old hymn that "gets" me is the very last verse..

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see."

I can only imagine what our Little Man is doing up there.. besides the most AWESOME of all things.. sitting in the presence of our JESUS.. he's also HEALED. No more sickness, no more pain, no more sorrow. I can't WAIT to get my arms around my PRECIOUS BOY again!

Here's the video...

Signing off with this passage...

Revelation 7:15-17 (New American Standard Bible)

15"For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.

16"They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat;

17for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes."

We have SO MUCH to be thankful for.. and to look forward to.. AMEN???

Until next time...
Love,

I've never heard a more beautiful rendition of this song. Knowing that Brent sang this shortly before going home makes it that much more special, and truly warms my heart.

I loved the song, but what touched my heart the most was the story you shared about Brent singing. From this point on, I will always think of Brent whenever I hear "Amazing Grace." :o)

Blessings to you, sweet Tonya...

Hey Tonya,

I saw this video a while back and just sat and sobbed. How can you not?

I believe this holds a special meaning to every Christian.

And then to think of Brent singing this!

Oh what a special relationship Brent had with his Saviour.

And to think he's there right now in HIS PRESENCE! (Gives me chills.)

Soon and very soon, we are going to see the KING!! Amen?

Love you, and thanks for sharing♥

Day? how about a week! Just always feel better when you sign in!
I can't imagine anything more comforting than the knowledge that the Lord is holding our hand! Know I'm praying!
Psalms 73:23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.

Amen! Several times God has given me wider glimmers of Himself in regards to our son in heaven. So yes, I think often of what he is experiencing. So beautiful! : )

As often as I've sung Amazing Grace...I never related it to Tyler (always thought of my salvation, etc.) But, you're right...."Once I was wheel-chair bound (etc..) and now I'm running the streets of gold!!" That just makes my heart sing.....

Oh, Tonya. I love that song so much, but it just makes me weep. Part joy and part grief. Our dear, dear friend Tyler chose the Chris Tomlin version to be sung at his funeral, and everytime I hear it, tears roll down my face as I imagine him in Heaven now; his chains ARE gone, and he IS free, but oh, how we miss him. Just as you miss your sweet, sweet Brent. I thank God every day for His amazing grace and the hope that it brings......

Never like long gaps in hearing how you're doing so just saying extra prayers for you right now!
Hebrews 4:13-16 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
