Prayer Request - Update

Hello, Friends....

I said I'd check back to update on my Mam-Maw, so here goes.......

What she has is called Aspiration Pneumonia. While reading about it in the hospital yesterday it seems that it happens when food or liquid is accidentally inhaled. There were reasons listed why this might happen, and one of those was if the person has had a stroke. We suspect that may be what happened. They did a CT (cat scan) yesterday and it was clear. They'll do another one in a few days.

We visited a couple of times yesterday - she is NOTHING like she was just a couple of weeks back. My grandma has ALWAYS been VERY ALERT, chatty (even as she's aged and her words were harder to come out). Last night, they "called the family in."

As of around midnight her breathing had gotten better and she seemed to be resting a little better, although she's still running fever. (Her breathing had become shallow earlier)

I'll be going back down there around 7 and will probably spend most of the day. If anything changes I'll let you know as soon as possible.
