Zach & "Buddy"

Hello, Friends.. I know I said I'd be posting a more serious post soon but this video is just too cute not to share. (Besides, I'm finding myself once again at the end of another day with little time left) If you've been with me for any of the past few posts you know that we're raising a baby calf. Well, technically, ZACH is. He's been bottle-feeding the little one since we lost his mama and has affectionately named the calf, "Buddy".

In this video you'll see how Buddy has learned to trust Zach and also LOVES to "play" with him. (You'll hear our collie, Lassie, barking.. she's jealous that Zach's playing with "someone else")

Also, watch closely.. and be sure to turn up the volume when you see Gabe enter the pen. He's watched Zach run while the calf chases him many times before and he wants to "play the game too". Well, he THINKS he does.. You'll hear Gabe SQUEAL after he realizes the chase is ON! (I was ROLLING when this happened and STILL find myself CRACKING UP EVERY time I watch it)

Thanks for hanging with me here! I sure do appreciate you for visiting! =-) Maybe, just MAYBE I'll get caught up soon. HA!!

Take care..
Love,

That is so funny!
Continuing to pray as always!
Psalms 31:9 Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

Psalms 31:14-15 But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

Boy does that bring back memories. We had a calf that looked like Buddy. He acted alot like him too. His name was Festus. You could holler his name and he would come running across the pasture, and he loved to push on you... It was soo cute when he was little, but how do you play with an 800 lb. calf when he grows up. It broke our hearts when we had to sell him.

They sure do have a special bond. That was so cute. I love it! I take it GAbe is not as comfortable with the calf.

Oh, I love Gabe's reaction! Show that clip to his wife one day in the future.

It's gotta be a lot of fun to raise a calf. I know it's work too, but, what great memories those kids are building.

So classic, Tonya! To me, there's not much that's sweeter than kids and animals together! Hope you have a blessed day!

That's so funny! I love the way Zach jumps around like a little calf himself to get Buddy started..what a pal! And I heard you laugh when Gabe shrieked.. I suppose it's scarier out there in the pen than what it appears on the screen. Especially when you aren't yet fully grown yourself! We pass a field on the way to school that has two cows, and this week we noticed that they now each have a little baby... SO sweet! Love me some cow eyes...
Almost to the weekend... hoooray!

Too funny! This is my first time on your blog and I'm so sorry to read about your son passing away. I have two boys and can only imagine how difficult that would be. Your testimony is a blessing!
