Please Pray for Carter

Hello, Sweet Friends...

I'm signing on with a request for prayer from you. We befriended a family through caringbridge while Brent was sick. Their names are Bo & Lindy Oswalt. Their baby (Carter) was born with Hypo Plastic Left Heart Syndrome (or "half a heart"). He's been a very sick little man off and on throughout his short life and was hospitalized today with a fever of 104.2. As best I can tell, the family isn't sure what's going on with him right now. If you'd like to meet his family you can click HERE or on his picture below. I'd also like to invite you to post with requests for prayer from your blogs as well. (If you'd like) Just grab the code below and post it in your posting area. (Or add it to your sidebar.... if you'd like) I know his family would appreciate ALL the prayer they can get!

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. Carter's mom, Lindy, was in Memphis for the Redemption 2009 conference that I went to last weekend. She's an AWESOME lady and I've REALLY ENJOYED getting to know her personally. (As opposed to writing back and forth on our caringbridge sites) Lindy is expecting right now.. TWINS! She's had some bleeding... let me quote Bo here so I don't get this wrong...

"Please also be in prayer for Lindy. We found out that Baby A (the closest to the cervix) has a marginal abruption(small tear) in its placenta (the twins have separate placentas). This is why she has been bleeding, so please pray that this will be nothing more than an annoyance and no danger to the baby."

Thanks in advance for your prayers!

Love,

Tonya,

You dont know me. My name is Tim. One of my prayer soldiers April shared Carters story with me and asked that I post his prayer request.

Since getting that request I have come to your site and read about Brent. What a touching story. God put him here for a reason, and that reason was obviously served and done so extremely well. What a true blessing of Gods he must have been.

Feel free to stop by and visit us at Fort Thompson, you are welcome anytime. Any friend of Aprils is a friend of mine.

Love and Prayers,

Tim

Tonya, I just popped over from Tim's blog after reading your comment about Carter and his family. Wow... how do some families endure so much. It's no question that God has purpose for each and every one and more love than we can ever imagine. I'll be placing Carter's button om my blog and hope that it will alert the prayer warriors in my life to pray for this very special family.

Thank you for your strength in our Lord and Savior and for your incredible witness of faith.

Many blessings,
Tiffany

Hi Tonya!

I found Carter's button through my sis-in-law, Tiffany (from The Boren Life). I've read about his story and now Brent and Zach's. I will be in prayer for Carter and Zach and hope you find out good news soon.

I understand your thoughts about cancer. I lost my mom to ovarian cancer...found too late. But like you said, there wasn't anything we could have done to detect it earlier. And unfortunately, it just seems so prevalent in today's world. We want so badly to protect the ones we love, but ultimately, God is in control and is truly protecting them.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Brent was obviously a very special boy who has made an impact on the world around him.

God bless you in this new journey with Zach. I'll be praying! :)
