quick update..

Hello, Friends!

I'm checking in to tell you that I didn't find out ANYTHING on Zach today. I called his doctor's office and they left a message for a nurse to call me back. She simply said the tests weren't in and that she'd call me as soon as they arrive. (I'll give them till around noon tomorrow then I'm calling again... hehehe)

I seriously can't thank you enough for the prayers. I've been at COMPLETE PEACE since the first day I asked you for prayer. As I sit and think about how GOOD it feels to be at peace.. the chorus of a song we sing with the kids at church comes to mind...

"Our GOD is SO BIG, so STRONG and so MIGHTY there's nothing our GOD can NOT DO!" (clap, clap) ☺

Before I sign off tonight.. I wanted to share something about a giveaway I plan to do. I'm not sure all the details yet because I'm still thinking on ways that I'd like to bless you. I WILL tell you that one of the things I want to give away is a book by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. It's called "Love & Respect".

I've only just begun to read it.. but I'm TOTALLY LOVING it! (It gives GREAT insight to what our husband's greatest need is. Just as our greatest need is to be loved, theirs is to be respected) It's amazing how Dr. Eggerichs saw something in scripture that I've heard few speak on. (I've SERIOUSLY only JUST learned this a year or so ago.. I know.. EVERYONE isn't as "slow" as I am.. ha!)

Ephesians 5:33
Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.

I don't know how I missed it! God tells the man to "love" his wife (that will meet her greatest need) and HE commands the woman to respect her husband (therefore meeting his greatest need).

Okay.. I'd better run tonight. I PROMISE I'll update again tomorrow as soon as I hear anything. (Even if it's another, "the tests aren't in yet")

THANKS AGAIN for your prayers!
Love,

Hey Tonya,

Sorry I didn't get to call!

Going to bed now.

I have that book and briefly skimmed though it, it looks GOOD.

E-mom shared some from it on her site recently.

Great book!! I first heard him on a tape explaining the cycle we get into...imagine the truth that God told wives to RESPECT their husbands since He KNEW it would be so hard and challenging for us and then He had the WISDOM to know that he must COMMAND the husbands to LOVE his wife. He knew how hard it would be for them...that is what makes a man ready to drop it all and DIE for us ladies!!! I so appreciate that try to remember that when my man 'acts like a man' sometimes..:)

I bought the audio for my man to listen to in the car. He liked it. Just wait 'till you read 'created to be his helpmate'. Enjoy and make them get those results..:)))

Sorry you still have to wait. Obviously the nurse has never had to wait for a call like that herself!
Know that you're in my thoughts and prayers!
Psalms 91:9-12 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

I have that book as well...it was given to me - but, honestly, I haven't even opened it. I hear about it all the time, though. Would be a shame to think that a real resource was just sitting in a basket and I didn't take advantage of it. I guess, I thought you had to have your hubbie's participation.

Hoping to hear good reports from the doctor. Hope you are having a great Wednesday!
