Hey Tonya, I came here to "cheat" off or you and get the link for Saturday. One of these days, I will stand on my own two blogger feet. LOL!
That is a beautiful song that you shared. I especially like the brief acapella part in the song. My few years in a church of Christ congregation have endeared me to music like that. No, it is not a salvation issue like some believe, just a preference.(oops, it's not Soapbox Sunday, yet!) I don't think I would have really noticed that part in the song before. Thanks for sharing something that means so much to you.
Thanks so much for the note you left on my blog yesterday. I, too, get frustrated when told that God will not give us more than we can bear. If that was the case, many would never turn to God... EVER. While struggles in life are NEVER easy and something we would never ask for... I am grateful that God sees fit to allow the struggles. It is thru those struggles that we truly see Him for all that He is.
It has been a pleasure praying for Allie Grace and her family this week. My children are such a blessing in my life and I so wish that everyone could (and would want to) experience the blessing of children in their life. Though I do not know them, I am so happy for her mommy and daddy!
All those men standing up and singing that song was awesome. Christian women really dig that. I love the part in the video where the father and son were worshiping God together - priceless.
Hey girl! I know I promised to JOIN you on Sunday...but I've been preparing a post for CWO...not it's not very "soap boxish...."
Can I get a PASS for next week!!?? I WILL be by to see what you have up your sleeve.... and the one on my mind is on "modesty" and those RIDICULOUS SHORT SHORTS that I'm seeing....Oh, but I'll go on about it NEXT WEEK!!
Tonya, I love this song! I turned it on while I was working around in my room and then I forgot to shut my computer down. So if you have a sitemeter and see that I was visiting for like 2 hours you will know what happened. I promise I am not stalking you! LOL!
I hope you had a good day, these weekends just fly by don't they?
Tonya, Thanks for stopping by my blog. I just got a blog makeover from Amy at Split Decisionz. She does great work. I let her know what I was looking for and she put it all together for me. I wish I could do what she did, but I'm a little computer challenged.
I pray that you, too, have a blessed Lord's day tomorrow. Looking forward to chatting with you again soon.
Oh, I love this song! I have not heard it in so long. How wonderful to hear it tonight. I'm gonna have to come back by just to listen to it again later! :) Thank you so much for sharing it. Blessings! Kimberly

Our Sweet Brent (at 11)
10/28/1995 - 01/02/07
Brent's Story...
Our son Brent suddenly started to complain with back pain in the fall of 2004. He was playing flag football with the town league and loved to roughhouse with his two younger brothers so the pain was dismissed at first. After having him tested for kidney and bladder infections and finding him clear we finally asked for an MRI of his back. A couple of weeks later (the very day of the MRI) we received a phone call from his doctor saying that a tumor was found in his pelvic area. We were asked how quickly we could get him to St. Jude Children's Hospital - we left IMMEDIATELY. Later that same week we got the diagnosis. It was one that we would NEVER, EVER forget. It was Stage IV Neuroblastoma, a cancer of the nervous system. His chances of survival when diagnosed were 1/4 - 1/3. When he relapsed we were reminded there was NO CURE. There was basically no hope of survival... none outside the HOPE we had in JESUS.
Brent fought long and hard. He was a Christian and LOVED his SAVIOR. He NEVER asked "why" or complained. He took each day as it was - a gift from GOD. Brent went HOME to be with the LORD on January 2, 2007. He was 11 years old. If I've EVER had a "hero" in this world.... it would be him.
7I will bless the LORD who has counseled me; Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night. 8I have set the LORD continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell securely.
