Please PRAY for Allie Grace

Update - 9:23 PM

Hello Again...

I'm checking back to let you know that we don't know anything. LOL! How's that for an informative update? I talked to Elizabeth a little earlier and the doctor had just walked in. (She was saying, I think this is the doctor, let me let you go) SOOOO... I can't say for sure if it was or not.

She seemed pretty confident that everything was just routine. I was a little nervous when we talked earlier so I may have gotten this wrong, but I THINK that I heard them say that the doctor in Jackson was the only Neonatal heart specialist in the state of Mississippi.

I'm thinking since we've not heard anything tonight it'll probably be tomorrow before we know anything. I PROMISE to update ASAP.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your prayers and words of encouragement. I agree with our friend Randy. I think "little bit" may very well be breaking us in. She's not to be outdone by her older cousins. (I've probably told you this before... but Zach was so accident prone that after a while I started to worry they'd call social services when we took him in the ER) HA!!

Until next time....
Tonya

PS.. I did get to see the little doll yesterday. She's BEAUTIFUL! I took pics but they were with Elizabeth's camera. Obviously they've been a little too busy to send them. I'll share those ASAP as well.

Update from earlier...

I just got a call from Elizabeth just a few minutes ago. She'd been told yesterday that Allie Grace might have a heart murmur. We understand that this is not uncommon, nor is it life threatening. The pediatrician wants to be thorough and has had her taken to another hospital. They're assuring us that everything looks okay, but they have to rule other things out. We don't have a lot of "big hospitals" around here so when there's something more serious they send you to Tupelo or Jackson. Allie Grace is on her way to Jackson. (They're flying her down) Jason & Elizabeth will follow in their car. I guess you can see why there's stress? Maybe not.. maybe I overreact when it comes to unexplained illness in children. I know we're supposed to trust GOD in all things, and we will. PLEASE PRAY for good test results for this little one. We'll be praying for Jason & Elizabeth as they wait.

At about 9:30 tonight we'll be 48 hours into the 72 that are required before the adoption is final. There will be some SERIOUS REJOICING in our area around that time tomorrow night! =-)

I'll keep you posted....

Thanks for your prayers!

I don't think you're overreacting, Tonya. Praying hard that she's fine. I have heard of a lot of newborns diagnosed with heart murmurs and they just clear up on their own.
Counting down with you!

Lord, I pray you put your ministering angels around little Allie Grace. I pray her heart is just fine, and you give the doctors wisdom as they treat her.

I speak peace to this whole family as they await these hours to pass. We commit this to you, in Jesus name I pray, Amen...

So much for the whole blog notification plan...I guess I'll find out tomorrow morning that you wrote this tonight! They seem to be pretty slow! I just checked in to see if there was anything new...and there's what you'd written on the other page, too. Hopefully there will be good news in the morning!

Oh Tonya!! I have been out of touch with blogland because we have had a ton of company during the past couple of weeks and I just haven't had time to check in! But I am just thrilled to death to read the news about Allie Grace this morning! (And I just LOVE the name! ;) What an amazing, blessed miracle!

I will be praying for her! My Kyle had a heart murmur when he was born - but it completely cleared up on its own! I am praying that Allie's will do the same.

I am just so excited for your family!! Keep us posted . . . I am anxiously waiting to start rejoicing with you. And I can't wait to see pictures of your new neice. How blessed she is to join your family.

With love, hugs and many prayers!
FROG . . .
