Then Sings My Soul ~ Saturdays

I was looking for an "Easter type song" and found this video instead. It's SO POWERFUL - showing how we can "dance" with JESUS one minute, then move away from HIM and become entangled in sin. When we finally decide to RUN back to HIM, HE'S THERE waiting for us to return! I LOVE how the video shows HIM PULLING us back to HIMSELF. I always find myself SOBBING as I watch this. I know what it's like to be "in the pit" and I know what it's like to find forgiveness. I hope you'll enjoy this as much as I do.

Now, I had another video that I saw on a new friend's blog... "To Know HIM." This video is about one AMAZING little lady and I couldn't wait to share her story!

Now, to share another "amazing" story - although maybe not on that level...

A few days ago grief overtook me. (For anyone new to my blog - we lost our 11 yr old son to cancer a little over a year ago. Most days are pretty good, Wednesday.. not so good) When I get really upset I always try to get somewhere alone to "cry it out" but on this particular day my two little ones quickly found me. Zach (our 10 year old) sat and held my hand. I could hear him send Gabe for something. I was pretty sure he told him to "Go get Mama a tissue." Gabe (our 7 year old) came back a couple of minutes later with this over his face....

What a sweetie! And creative too! I was completely blown away at his effort to make me smile. (He actually got me tickled) We're O-SO-BLESSED to have such AMAZING little boys!

For those of you that are interested in taking part of our first "Soapbox Sunday" be sure to check back later this evening (or tonight). I'm going to post early to avoid chaos tomorrow morning.

THANKS for stopping by!

What a sweet way to brighten your day. He's got a special heart and loves his mama! Tonya-I am so sorry for the grief and pain that you have gone through. I remember following Brent's story and thinking that he would pull through-even when you went back to St.Jude's the final time I really thought an earthly miracle would happen. His conversations with God were not of this world and make me have so much hope and faith in our dear God and I thank Brent for his faith that strengthened mine. Your boy was healed in Glory as you know and I can't wait to meet him and to hear all about it someday. I can only imagine your heartache somedays and will pray for peace and protection upon your soul! Blessings to you this Easter.

I didn't expect to cry my eyes out. That was so emotional. I've got to show it to my kids tomorrow; the message is powerful.

Last October, my brother-in-law, didn't see the hope. He didn't see his Jesus standing there waiting for him and so he gave in and took his own life. I wish that he had seen something like this. Those people in the video have a really neat ministry.

I absolutely love the video where they are acting out God's love. I bawled the whole time when I first saw it.

The video of that lady with the robber...priceless!

Have a blessed Easter!

Hi Tonya.
I love the video of the woman being robbed. Thanks for sharing that amazing story.
I cry every time I read something about Brent and how much you are hurting. I can't imagine losing a child. Each time I cry I know there is intercession going up for you to the Father.
You are amazing and have amazing kids. That's a great story of your son who came to love on you when he saw you hurting and the other one who brought the smiling picture.
Happy Easter and may God richly bless you and your family.
Love,
Valerie

Tonya,
I have seen these two videos that you posted. The first one, Dancing with Jesus, is one of the most powerful "dramas" I have ever seen! I have had all of my children (especially the older ones) watch it and they were really moved by it. I would really like to play it for my bible study class.

The second video is amazing as well. What a great testimony to the power of Jesus name!!

My heart aches for you and the pain you have been through! I can't even imagine how hard it is! I so admire your faith and love for Jesus! Obviously your boys have got that as well. I think GOd uses those babies to love us through some of life's toughest stuff. Please know you are on my mind and in my prayers! I thank the Lord that He brought us together in friendship!

Love, Kelley

What a sweet blessing your blog has been to me. I am lifting prayers for you. Have you ever read Randy Alcorn's book, Heaven. It is so good.

I LOVE that video of the dance. It is so true.
Happy Easter,
Much love,

You're getting really good at this blogging thing! Another amazing post! I really loved the story about the woman and the would be robber.
Showers are a good place when you need a good cry...but it sounds like it worked out better letting the boys help you find your smile again. It's not a bad thing for them to see you cry now and then...lets them know that it's okay for them to cry, too.

Tonya,
I am so glad that you decided to join in on Then Sings My Soul. I loved the two videos you shared. I actually am getting ready to share a post that I have been working on this week with the first video and the second I just saw on someone else's blog. I love them both.

I am so moved by the story of your son. Our children can truly be our hero's sometimes. My little one is quite a hero too. He has epilepsy but continues to put his faith in God that it is all for a purpose.

It was great that your other children are so in tune to you.

I plan to come back to visit again. Have a blessed Easter.

Your story about driving on the one way street made me laugh out loud!
I called my mother-in-law this morning to tell her we were back safe and sound and I was telling her a little about the traffic & craziness and she asked me if we drove while we were there? HECK NO!!!
We truly were funny. I laugh thinking about it now. Once my mom said, "They don't even act like they want our business." :)
It was an experience and fun!
Thanks for writing.
Happy Easter to you and your family.

To my dear sweet Tonya,

Oh, you are so precious and you take so GOOD care of your crazy OLD, oops, young friend.

Thanks for all your help this morning. What would I do without you?

LOVED this post. The song, the video, and then the story.

How precious... how loving and tender. Your boys sure love their mom, I was so deeply touched.

Thanks for reaching out and touching all our hearts each time you write.

You have a way of making me smile/laugh/and cry.

I pray your tender sweet spirit NEVER changes.

Blessings to you and your family this Resurrection Weekend!!

He's ALIVE!!!!
