Today I want to do my "Thankful Thursday" post on a person who is challenging the move towards Darwinism. As many of you have heard, Ben Stein has a new movie to be released this Friday. I've been getting quite a few emails from big Christian organizations encouraging everyone to GO and support this film.
Our country was founded on Christianity and FREEDOM of religion, yet every day we move another step away from the plan our founding fathers established. Now, rather than entertaining both creation and evolution - they want to get rid of creation altogether.
I've not seen this movie so I'm afraid to say it's "family friendly." If you'd like to go and read the review for yourself you can click HERE. The site I'm directing you is a part of Focus on the Family.
Anyway... I'll let you watch the movie trailer and see what you think.
I copied the "what people are saying" (just below) from one of those emails...
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:
"I recommend EXPELLED enthusiastically!"
- James C. Dobson, Ph.D., Chairman of the Board, Focus on the Family
"Four stars!" - Ted Baehr, Editor, MovieGuide
"A powerful and riveting film… every open-minded person will love it."
- Rev. Donald E. Wildmon, Founder & Chairman of American Family Association
"EXPELLED is an enormously important project."
- Michael Medved, national radio host
"We highly recommend EXPELLED to anybody."
- Ken Smitherman, President, Association of Christian Schools International
"SEE THIS FILM, bring your friends and bring your church."
- Lee Strobel, Author, Case for a Creator
"See EXPELLED and you'll understand why they want to censor those who question their dogmas." - Dr. Richard Land, Southern Baptist Convention
"Those who are suppressing belief in God and trying to make materialism the law of the land should beware. Ben Stein is on a mission to stop the suppression, and millions of Americans are behind him."
- Pat Robertson, Host, 700 Club
"In EXPELLED, Ben Stein shows us what happens when academic freedom takes a day off. We should all be listening."
- Carl Anderson, Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus
"EXPELLED is both an eye-opening documentary and riotous entertainment." - Joseph Farah, CEO, WorldNetDaily.com
"This movie may trigger a cultural revolution."
- Dennis Wagner, Executive Director, Access Research Network
"EXPELLED could easily be one of the most important movies of the year."
- Denny Rydberg, President, Young Life
"EXPELLED is earthshaking. I was absolutely blown away. Everyone in America, even skeptics of Intelligent Design, must see this film."
- J. Matt Barber, Director for Cultural Issues, Concerned Women for America
"A cultural earthquake... Everyone I talked to after the screening used words like 'fabulous' and 'incredible'." - Dr. Tom Woodward, Director, C.S. Lewis Society
"A solid case for giving the theory of Intelligent Design a respected place in the classroom alongside Darwin's theory of Evolution."
- Dick Rolfe, Co-Founder and CEO, The Dove Foundation

Thanks for sharing this sweetie.
Hi, I am new to Thankful Thursday. Just dropping by to say hello. I a little about your son, Brent. Thank God that He is safe in the arms of Jesus. He has fought a good fight and has entered his eternal rest. May God comfort and strengthen you and family as you journey on. I hope to come back and read more of your postings. Take care and God bless!
Wow the trailer alone is great! Thanks for sharing! I'll have to see where it is showing here! Is it for kids too?
Hey! thanks for sharing about the movie. Have a great day katie
Wow! I must be living under a rock b/c I wasn't aware of this movie. Interestingly, I am reading Case for a Creator by Lee Strobel and he unearths a lot of errors about evolution. In school, I competed in State Science fair for three years and I love how it opened my eyes to GOD'S creation. It took a while for me to reject evolution b/c it was what I taught(home and school). I finally rejected evolution while taking an Anthropology course in college. It seemed like much ado about nothing and failed to explain so much of our existence. I will have to see this movie! Thanks for always keeping your finger on the "pulse", Tonya!
Love you, dear friend!
I didn't know about this---thanks!
Tanya,
You are so good and faithful with getting these memes done and posted. It's always nice to come here and see what you have to say each day! Thanks for promoting this movie. I haven't heard much about it but now I am anxious to see it. I don't go out to the movies much but this is one I want to support.
Have a great day friend!
Love,
Kelley
oops. Sorry, I misspelled your name. I know it is spelled Tonya, I don't know why I used an a in.
Last comment of the day from me I promise! Come to my blog and play a game, I just tagged you!
I plan on seeing it! Can't wait.
I'm so glad I found your blog. I have been hearing about this movie for a quite a few months and like all good thoughts it got lost in my brain burps. I love how God puts helpers in my path all around to help me remember life. This sounds right up my husbands favorite alley and now I can write a note to find out where it will be showing and take him.
Yeah...my inbox has been flooded too!! It's great to see it...and I can't wait to see it all!!
GO BEN! :)
hugs to you!
thankful for that spirit of yours!!

You see Tonya - many, many people forget that evolution is only a theory. No one can really prove it. Well, for me it would take more faith to be created from a puddle of mud than from our Creater, Father God...There is more proof for that than the 'puddle theory'...
Thank you so much for posting about this very important issue before the movie is starting tomorrow.
Thank you for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
Blessings to you and your precious family.
First, let me say thank you so much for coming by my place and leaving me a comment! That just blessed my socks off!
Secondly, apparently I have been living under a rock! I had not heard about this movie! How exciting! I am so thankful you shared about it today!
Blessings~
Kimberly :)
Hey Girlfriend,
What's up? Oh, I wanted to go see this as soon as it opened, I'll have to wait until next weekend.
Rick will be at a men's retreat this weekend. I'm glad, I know he'll be praying and praying!
Let me know when you see it OK/
Love you, dear♥
just saw Expelled; I appreciate the fact that Ben Stein's goal in making this flick (i gather) was not to win any popularity contests (this by itself helps to validate his message)... his goal was to promote free thought, especially more thinking about motivations that drive American academia and a lot of other behind-the-scenes worldview that we tend to take for granted.
