An evening at the lake

Hello, FRIENDS!

I think I may have mentioned that I was going to post some photos of the boys from the lake? Anyway.. these are from when Link & I took them to Choctaw Lake for a little family photo shoot.

You can probably tell by the bad color/editing that I'm the photographer?? HA! At any rate, we were VERY satisfied with the outcome. I'm still saying that ONE day in the future, when our lives slow down (the boys get older) I'm going to take some classes on photography and photoshop. O:-)

Oh, one last thing.. You probably know this already, but if you "click" on the collage it will enlarge giving you a better view of the pictures. (I apologize for there being so many to look at.. I posted most of the better ones for family - I'm just dragging the rest of you along... HA!!)

Did you notice in the last set that they are eating ICE CREAM?? That was their treat for being good sports while Mom shot well over a hundred pictures. O:-)

I think this was my FAVORITE of the day..

Wow, Tonya, you really have a GIFT. Gosh I can't image if you took a class, hmmmm could not be much better! Seriously.

Now, they were all great but "MY FAVORITE" was the black and white, or sepia, of the boys on the dock.

I love the way they were dressed and their pants rolled up, how precious.

What great looking guys. I see Brent each time I look at Gabe!!

Girl you are something!!!

Now I still want you to learn photoshop so you do all kinds of neat things to our pictures. Get that HINT???

Tonya - those photos are marvelous!!!!! I agree with you - the last one you posted is my favorite too.
I too am learning photography - I am glad that I have a very patient teacher in my beloved :)
BTW - I think portrait or people shots look the best in B&W - but that is just my personal opinion.

Thank you so much for sharing this fabulous collection with us.

Oh yes! I can definately see Brent!!! Especially in that last one... those cute cheeks that look like they have nuts stored in them!!! I remember how much all three of your boys sounded alike. I can close my eyes and hear them now. I know how bittersweet it must be. What a gift that Brent rubbed off on his brothers so much! He was so special- and I really mean it! Heck- do you think I jump on planes to meet just anyone?! As a matter of fact, I never have and most likely never will again! I just HAD to meet Brent and I feel sooooo blessed that I did. Cooper still talks about Brent and his journey home. What an impression he made on my boy! Blows me away. It was something that The Lord did for us. Cooper has never been fearful about Hutton. He knows that no matter what- Hutton will be fine. I know that we talked to him a lot about heaven and how that is really the goal. Brent just got to go early. Sad for us but good for him.

Okay... I have really rambled!!! I just want you to know how much we love your family. You mean so much to us. And- I wanted to say- YES! Gabe looks just like Brent!!!!

I LOVE the one with them on the edge of the dock! You do have a gift!

When my daughter gets home from college for Christmas break she and I are going to take a class in photography and photoshop. I can't wait. I've also been saying that I want to take a class.

Very good looking boys!

Those pictures are gorgeous. You are quite a photographer. And your boys are precious. Any time you want to use ice cream to bribe me, go for it. :) I will be still for pictures. (especially if it involves chocolate)

This are great pics. I love the ones with the water as the backdrop. Such a great idea of taking the photos at the lake. You should've had one of the boys take pics of you and Link, though. Mommy and Daddy are 'portant also!!
